Our Staff

Mhairi Frommer is the Supervisor at the Burford Co-op Preschool & Children’s Centre.

Mhairi was instrumental with the expansion, and relocation of the Preschool. Mhairi graduated from the Early Childhood Education Program at Georgian College, Barrie,
Ontario, and has many years of experience in the field.

Mhairi is proud to be a Certified member of the
Association of Early Childhood Educators of Ontario.

Anissa is the Assistant Supervisor at the Burford Co-op Preschool & Children’s Centre. She is a Registered Early Childhood Educator who is in the office each morning from 8:30-12:30, and in the Toddler Room every afternoon. Anissa received her diploma from Mohawk college and has over 15 years experience working with young children.

Amanda is part of the Infant Room team. Amanda is an ECE graduate from Loyalist College, in Belleville, Ontario. Amanda has been part of the Preschool since September 2007.

Tanya Santos is part of the staff who works with the Preschoolers at the Burford Co-op Preschool & Children’s Centre. Tanya graduated from the ECE Program at Mohawk College, and has been with the Preschool since it first expanded in January 2009. Tanya is also the Supervisor of the Before School Program at Burford District Elementary School.

Amber Alambets is part of the Preschool Room team. Amber is another graduate from the Mohawk College ECE Program. Amber has been a part of the Preschool since July 2009.

Tamar Johnson has her ECE Equivalency. Tamar hails to us from Manitoba where she received her diploma in Child Care Services. Tamar is part of the JK/SK Room team.

Shanna McDougal graduated from the Early Childhood Education Program at Sheridan College, and is part of the Toddler Room team

Tracy Cartmel is the Centre Cook. Tracy has her Food Safety Training Certificate, and has a great deal of experience in food preparation. The children who attend the Burford
Co-op Preschool & Children’s Centre eat very well.

Sarah Stanshall has her diploma as a Child and Youth Worker, as well as her ECE diploma. Sarah received her Early Childhood Education diploma through Mohawk College. Sarah has been working in a Child Care setting since 2007, and works together with Amanda in the Toddler Room.

Lacey graduated from the Early Childhood Education Program at Mohawk College. Lacey worked in the School-Age Program and Toddler Room as an undergraduate, then left to go to England for several months. We were very pleased when Lacey returned to our location. Lacey is currently part of the Toddler Room staff.

Catherine has been an Early Childhood Educator for many years, and brings with her a great deal of patience and experience. She graduated from Conestoga College, and has most recently been a Supply Educational Assistant for the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board. Cathie runs an amazing After School Program for the school-agers who attend the Burford Co-op Preschool & Children’s Centre.

Lori is a Registered Early Childhood Educator from Humber College. Lori is the End-of-Day staff in the Infant Room Tuesday-Thursday each week. Lori brings with her many years of experience working with young children.

Sarah is a Registered Early Childhood Educator from Fanshawe College. Sarah is the

End-of-Day staff in the Toddler Room Monday-Friday day each week.

Maria graduated from Conestoga College in 1988 and moved to Pembroke where she worked in the Child Care profession until 2010. By 2010, Maria chose to return to the Brantford area and is looking forward to sharing many memories and getting to know the families and children who attend the Burford Co-op Preschool & Children’s Centre.

Ashli is our newest recruit having just started with us in January 2012. Ashli is an ECE graduate from Fanshawe College, and is part of the JK/SK Room team.
